The thing I appreciated the most about this book was the light it shined on post traumatic stress disorder. In the story, Miles is a war hero who struggles with PTSD. As the book progresses, the reader can see not only his struggle, but also his journey back to wholeness. If this book were to be boiled down into one word, that word would be "hope."
I really enjoyed this book. It was pulled into the lives of the characters and the story line from the pages and the fast paced story line kept me reading to see what was going to happen next. It is a wonderful combination of romance, faith and mystery and one I wholeheartedly recommend. I definitely hope there will be more to follow from this author.
Beast of Stratton is an interesting, fun, suspenseful novella. The story line is easy to follow with enough mystery to keep you interested. The book has secrets, PTSD, faith, and romance. I look forward to reading more of this authors work.

This book has suspense, mystery, and romance. Three elements to please. The Beast, who suffers from war experiences, shows a soft side as he grows roses. Aimee succeeds in sleuth work as she looks for her dad who has vanished. Along the way, she runs into bad guys and gets kidnapped, and naturally, the Beast rescues her. Don't you love macho heroes? I do. I found the characters with Italian names a bit difficult to keep track of and wished I had a list of characters, but other than that, I really enjoyed the book.
He worked and strived for the American Dream..and when his country needed him, he answered the call, leaving his dream in secure and capable hands. After facing the throes of battle and war, with all the terror and horror, returning home to find deceit and lies, he suffers many of the ills associated with the wounded warrior veteran. Read "BEAST OF STRATTON" and discover the effect of a daughters love.....WHO IS THE BEAST OF STRATTON???....
Fast paced with enough mystery to keep you up until the end, the mysteries inside Stratton Industries are many and keep the story moving along. Miles Stratton is mystery in himself as is what is going on with the company and who Miles can trust within his own company. I had my doubts about a few people throughout the book. Because the majority of the book takes place over a one-night time span, there it moves along nicely. There were a couple of things brought up in the book that I would have liked to see explored a little more, but it doesn’t take away from the story. In fact, it made me keep thinking about what those things meant.
If you’re looking for a quick suspense read with an element of intrigue and romance, consider Renee Blare’s debut novel.

Fast paced and interesting the twist and turns of the plot make this a fast read. The characters are well developed and the story unfolds into one of heartfelt reclamation from the real beast that holds the main character.
